Every award-winning school receives one plaque.
Extra plaques are available for school trophy cases, classrooms, or student homes.
Teachers of all winning entries will receive:
- a 10-month subscription to Discovery Education streaming
- a one-year membership to Computer-Using Educators (CUE)
(current memberships will be extended by one calendar year)
Teachers of overall winners will also be given a cash prize and one complimentary registration to the Annual CUE Conference in Palm Springs.
Plaques
One plaque is presented to winning participants for each award. Extra plaques may ordered by winning students, teachers, or schools. Many teachers and/or parents acquire extra plaques for major student contributors to the project or for the school trophy case, computer lab, or media room. The plaques have the award category, the project title, and either "media" or "multimedia" (depending on the category) and the year. For the past several years, the plaques have been ordered from Hollywood Trophy in Los Angeles. For additional plaques, Hollywood Trophy may be contacted at directly at 323-469-3959. No fees from extra trophy sales go to the Festival. There is no connection between the California Student Media Festival and Hollywood Trophy.
